Matthieu Foss Gallery: What wears me

(born. 1974) presently works out of Mumbai designing and handcrafting one-off headpieces, jewelry pieces, and accessories for retail and runway shows. She has a penchant for creating more out of things and styling.

Shilpa’s work is a process, a journey and an understanding with oneself. In which she moulds things into a shape, each and every material helps define or defy that shape. It could be anything but it is a shape… a shape that surrounds your cerebellum… a shape that engulfs your pulse… a shape that flirts with your ankle to a shape that edits your eye. Shilpa calls it craftsmanship of the mind, but people simply call it an accessory.
